reprimanded to the past tense

"For once, I can say 'this is mine, you can't take it'"
- Michael Buble, For Once in My Life

Waking up this morning urged me to eat some lollipops. And I did! Haha. Parents went out for the morning, and older brother didn't come home. So that leaves me and my sister. Heh. I looked out my window -- to confirm that my parents are out -- and I saw the cat. Yay! I haven't seen the cat -- named, Si Rimau -- since ever.

Yesterday was the
INTER-SCHOOL NATIONAL DEBATE COMPETITION SEMI-FINALS
S.M.SAYYIDINA OTHMAN vs. MAKTAB SAINS P.S.B.S.

"I'm inconsolable."
- Backstreet Boys, Unbreakable

The Debate started so late. Songs were played while waiting for one of the adjudicators to arrive. And if the song was upbeat, Nina and I would dance, for entertainment for our line. Hahah. Kesian jua eh, they were BORED. I have pictures in my phone, but it's in my room, and my leg is cramped. Ouuuch.

Oh, Sayyidina Othman meant Ameer Yura was going to be there, and he did! And also Ilhamuddin, he was one of the debaters. Even the Chairperson was one of a BASE Camper (technically, a facilitator). Ooooh. Ameer Yura is a Ketua Prefek. So proud of him. Hahaha.

Back to the Debate. The motion was This House Believes that Vehicle Access to the City Should be Restricted. Honestly, it wasn't a very good motion to be debated on, and it was misleading. The MS Team debated the motion in terms of Bandar Seri Begawan, as they thought that the motion stated that the City meant Bandar Seri Begawan, as Brunei doesn't have a city yet. And sooo..

Well, MS lost to SMSO, so I guess the motion meant the City in general. But the is a definite article, so it should mean a specific city. Aish. Santi was great with her speech! She was funny, politely rude, and all. She should've been Best Speaker. She really wanted to get into Bridging Minds. Poor her.

She threatened me so I could come to Mr Meer's for the Barbecue. But I didn't. I told my parents too late. Never mind. I watched AF for the boredom. Haha. Ended up sleeping to a rock song.

TADI, Hadrah was fiiine. I tricked some of the people that I wasn't going to join the Competition. Darn it. Anyway, the new song was great. We sang it all over again. It is a fun song.

Yawn, watching CSI is making me sleepy. Ta.

tell me your story

I don't think it's exactly a real day without going to or passing by MS. Heh.

"For a pessimist, I am pretty optimistic"
- Paramore.

Yawn. Today is a Friday, and as usual, French class is ON. Mme. Rokiah brought an album, with pictures of her old intensive-class days. As we were browsing, we came across a group picture, and there was her ex-boyfriend in it. Then she said, "The f***ing German." Hahahaha. NICE.

I finished both Translations, wheee. But I did it in pencil, haha. Then just now, Mme Rokiah brought pulut panggang. I LIKE! So.... Haha apakan. Izzah were cracking her knuckles, and Mme tagur-ed it. Haha, I mean, doesn't anyone, at least once a week, crack their knuckles? Hehhh. So, yeah. There's no point in being too IN DEPTH of the details. Lurus kah tu?

Then, after class, I had to wait for the person who was going to take me home. Izzah and Syaz wer ewith me, so we stood at the concourse area, while it was raining heavily and the wind was blowing like crazy. Munawwir was there, blowing that tuba of his. Haha. Then Rifaie approached me and gave a Mum's plastic bag, with a big bottle of Sprite and this long chain of plastic cups. Haha. Then Izzah wanted some, so I gave her some.

Then Rifaie offered buns from Mum's Bakery. So I took one. Then I said "mmm. nyaman eh banana" as it was a banana bun. Then Syaz said something like, "je n'aime jamais l'ananas", which meant I never liked pineapples. Then I said, "apakan? pineapples?" Then Syaz was confused between les ananas and les bananes. The former meant pinapples, and the latter meant bananas. See? How confusing French can be. Heh.

Then Mum and Dad came to pick me up, and there were plastic bags from IDEAL. Wheee Ideal food. Ideal chicken! *drool. Then SEMBAHYANG. Nothing much.

I was late for Hadrah Practice, so we started at around 2.45 pm. Hehehehehe. A judge was present to comment us on our performance. He said that our first song, Allahu Allah was too low a key. So he asked us to raise our key. PAYAH KALI AHH. Then he commented on our second song, Perjuangan. He said that he can't hear a single word. WHOA. That's a problem we would have to overcome in about 5 days. SHYTES.

Then we practiced and practiced. Until our voices couldn't come out anymore. HAHAHA. Payah ehh the high note. Mona Adliana brought a huge box of Koko Krunch. Goooood. Haha. Nice. Hafiz and I resung Perjuangan with a ber-mukun beat. Lawa... Then we sang that song alll over again. Nice!

I think that's it. I wanted to eat some lollipops today. Payah ahh. No supplies! Haha. Okay. ta.

wish i had a fancy telescope

SpongeBob cracks me up. Hah. Okay, random much?

Today pretty much was normal in average. Er, our Physics papers were given back. No Maths today. More of Diabetes Mellitus. Green Patrolling. NO ENGLISH (later.). FRENCH were Haha (apakan?)

Nothing out of the ordinary. WE (that is to say, Emah, Yas, Kilah, Izzah, Syaz and me) were late for friggin' English. And Don was maaad. But hell do I care? He hates me, so why should I care? Hah.

Hadrah practice was in front of the BookStore. Hahah. Then I taught Muqtadir how to play the rebana. Thank you, people, for being present. Re-re-re-re-taking of Hadrah people were done, thanks to Hafiz. Aigh.

ONE MORE WEEK TO HADRAH COMPETITION

GAAAAH. Shitessssss. I watched Meet the Spartans on DVD just now. Sekarang ingin melihat The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Heard it was freaaaky. Just hope I'll be able to sleep tonight.

Oh, Zimah asked me for the lyrics of Lela Menchanai. Cooliess. I love that song, ever since Ka Amal played it on piano. And then my love grew at my little sister's concert, when Hadry's little sister (siapa nama nya?) sang that song in solo, while Shazana played the lead woman. Hehee.

Oh, crackpots were at the canteen just now (i.e. US). We sang every song in mind, with actions that correspond to the words in the lyrics. Haha. Nice. Alrites, gonna watch Emily Rose now. Cheers, ta.

je ne peux pas ecouter

We got our Maths. D and Biology marks back. Ughhhhh. That's the downside of today. The upside is MR. DON didn't come in. Whoohooooooooooooooo. I could shout for hours, but I won't. That would contribute to noise pollution. Haha.

Sigh.

Chemistry. We got our places changed. I am in the backmost bench, with Izzah and Amal. The smart people maybe? But not necessarily those with good hearing. I mean, c'mon, cher! Speak louder! Thank God for repetition.

Sigh. Bah. That's all.

Erks, esok kami Nasyid Preliminaries! Oh shiiiiitesss. I fasted tadi. Hee. And people were, like, WHY?

hahaha. that's all. ta

marks. smileugh

My Topical Test 2 marks:

BM: 42/50
Comments ~ BM was really frustrating. But then I managed to beat most of the class.

English: 19/25
Comments ~ Ugh.

Maths D: 50/60
Comments ~ WHOA! I didn't expect THIS mark, let alone being the highest! Whooaaaa!

Add Maths: 41/47
Comments ~ I think. Cause I got 81.8181818182 %

Biology: 35/60
Comments ~ Nyeh.

Chemistry: 45/50
Comments ~ Ooh, I thought I was going to get low marks! Yay!

Physics: 45/55
Comments ~ Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

French: 62.5/100
Comments ~ That's not the real mark. I just remember th percentage. Hahaha

MIB: 17/50
Comments ~ I HATE MIB!

PEOPLE, if my Additional Mathematics and my Physics mark is high, I might turn my future pathway from being an Army Doctor to be a Chemical Engineer. Yech.

now you know who's boss

For all of eternity, I have never felt so stressed out. And I have never ever shouted at a person THAT mad.

Okay, let me outline what was in school just now:

panglima field performance practice
hadrah for the finals practice
nasyid for the preliminaries practice

I wasn't stressed at first at panglima practice. That was because it's FUN. and I'm not in charge. Haha. We haven't finished with the Panglima thing. But it was fun. What with all the, er, props and all. And our, er, thing. And the, er, cheer. Hehehehehehehe.

Let's just wait for the real Sports Day. Oh! It's going to be at the Padang Kebajikan, instead of Belapan. Boo. I was planning of swimming after that! Yech.

More about my stressful adventure? Sure

Panglima was from 8 til 12, but Hafiz, Hatadi and I went ou at around 11.30 or so. Then, Nasyid. only a few showed up. So we were late in practicing. Heh. I was going to gt my rebana in the Ugama staffroom, but it was locked. Ergh.

I'll just get to the point. I am stressed out for and mad at:
the Hadrah people for not singing loudly on the first practice;
Hatadi for being blablabla when us Hadrah were trying to sing;
the newbies + Haziq Don for being late;
Haziq Don for being too playful;
teaching the newbies how to play their respective instruments;
the newbies for NOT getting how to play them.

The newbies are all Form 4s. Then again, the original Hadrah boys were 13/15 Form 4s. Yechhh. The newbies are Rahman, Mizan, (another) Afif, Aizat and Muqtadir. At least Muqtadir was committed. The others, I assume, was just joining Hadrah to escape class. Heh.

Yeah. That's all I can say. Ta.

and all you have is nothing

Today, and yesterday, I had meals full of CARBOHYDRATES. Yes, I'm being all biological now. And ironically, I'm not good in Bio.

And, yeah, I had meals rich in those things that contain glucose. You know, carbs. Hah. Well, for lunch YESTERDAY wasn't really RICH in carbs. That's because I DID NOT EAT. Hah.

So for dinner, it was so energy-giving. There was tumpi, nasi goreng pattaya, ayam goreng, potatoes, rice, etc. I forgot HAH. wait, I forgot something..

THE SENIOR PREPARED SPEECH COMPETITION 2008

For the 1st Category (Forms 4 & 5), the first speaker talked about Pollution. She spoke A BIT fast, so we can't really understand what she was saying. Oops. Then came Hafiz's turn. His speech title was "An Achiever". He was gooooooooood. I heard his speech beforehand. And so I remember it. Heh. Then came ... Izzah Farzanah (or as Zul would call her, si Putit. Haha funny story). She was LOUD. Hahaha. Then Kilah. Her body language wasn't really good. Hahaha. Sorry Ki, but your hands were really consistent. And that's boring, love. Hee.

The Second category (Pre-Us). Whoa!! Nice speeches mann!! First was Izzati, talking about self-confidence. Then Sarah Hanaa, who stated that P2F is better than American Idol (err..). Then Sulaiman, who spoke of the rate of obesity in Brunei (ookayy.). Then Mr. Ian Chan Zhao Xiang, who lectured about How to be the Perfect Party Host. Hahaha. Nice right? Yeahhh.

Truthfully, I wanted Ian and Hafiz to win. But both of them got second place. So, too bad. But I'm relieved Izzah won. Though not as relieved that she won just $10. Heh. You're in the NEWSPAPER, zah! Hahaha.

Okay, back to my whole carbohydrate "diet". Today was really carbohydrate-y. I mean, before Breaktime, in French, I ate the french fries (haha, irony) from Express. Courtesy of Mme. Rokiah. Then at Panglima Field Performance practice, I ordered Express. THEN, my Mum picked me up after picking my little sister from Ugama, then we picked up my sister (who has completed her 'A' Levels) at Brunei Times. THEN we went to KFC for dinner. Can you believe it? KFC! More carbohydrates! Heh.

So that's all I can type. I'm currently on Friendster, Blogger, Google, YouTube, and MSN; chatting with Ameer and Danial. Hahaha. See you.

ne voulais

Hahaha. Today is really both stressing, and stress-releasing. Hahaha.

School? There isn't much to talk about. My Malay, I scored 75%. And I failed my MIB. Hahaha. 17/50. WOW. Chemistry was NYEH. Continued the practical from yesterday. Titration, ku ANTAM SAJA.

Hahhaa. French was fine. Like always. My Sanctuary.. Hahaha. OOOOH. A. Maths! I like. I finished the first exercise given. And Kilah was like, "You finished it? Where do you find the time?!"

Hahahaha. The MS Youth Initiative Sketch people did a rehearsal in MA 5I during Breaktime. Hahaha. Didn't see it though.

After lunch is ..
panglima field performance practice.

Haha. I is not liking it. Stressful wahhh. Then at 2.30, Hafiz and I escaped practice to go to HADRAH practice. Yech. More stress. Though they were obedient and .. uh, good. HAHA.

Then Nasyid. God, how much stress is the maximum limit for ONE DAY? Yech. OH! Me, Hadry and Marzuqi wrote the Surah al-Fatihah on the whiteboard. Hahaha. How bored were we?

After all that, it's time for some stress relief. Santi and Nina were stress-relieving in front of the Audi by remixing Secondhand Serenade's Your Call. It was SO funny. Then we laughed and laughed and laughed a lot. Hahaha.

That's all I' m going to say. Bye for now.

what's coming out for ...

Biology was HARD. I studied mostly on the Form 5 topics, then came out Plant Nutrition, a Form 4 topic! ARGH.

Okay, let me start from when I woke up.

I woke up at around 6.10 ish, to the lyrics of Unbreak My Heart by Il Divo. Then I showered, got dressed and then I went to Abang's room to borrow his Wax. Then I went down to find my Mum had already went. Which was early for her. Heh.

Then we went to schoool. My bag was so BARAT I had to lug it on both shoulders. Hrmph. Then I went to class. I sat down, and "read" some Bio. Hahha.

Oh I forgot to tell you this, outside the Main Gate, Sir Don was walking on foot. I don't know why. Maybe his car broke down? I won't know.

First & Second Period: English. How ironic it is to start the day. He gave us our tests back, and I got 19/25. 19 x 4 = 76%. Not good. Then we did some corrections, then some vocab, then *ugh* Pictionary. Zul was funny. Too bad I wasn't on their team. Boo..

Third Period: MIB. Mummy Haiseh! Hee. She gave us back our BM Test Paper, instead of MIB. Like, wth? I got 74%. Which was fairly awesome, considering the paper was serious shit. Oops. Sorry, Mum.

Fourth and Fifth Period: Maths. D. Oh!! Test! It was okay. Better than I expected, actually. People said it was hard, I don't know why. I just hope I don't get low marks.

BREAK. Nothing fun here. Just hung out with Ze and Shar. Honestly, I feel that my connection with my classmates are getting further and further. I just feel close with Fuzah (sometimes), Emah, Izzah and Zul. Sigh.

Seventh and Eighth Period: Biology. Haha, test. Ugh. Ms. Ratni told us in advance that she won't be invigilating us for the test, so I expected either Ck. Juraidah or Ms. Norchua (both of them rock!). But then expectations dropped as Mr. Shabi (or whatever) came in. I sat at the very back with Zul, and we kept passing notes. Hahaha. Then minutes after the eighth period started, Ms. Ratni came in. Yay! Okay, Test rating: 8.7.

Ninth and Tenth Period: Chemistry. Wheee. I love. We did a practical. I love more. But then I had no positive tests, except for one, where I put magnesium ribbon into solution S, and bubbles of gas went. I put my thumb over the test-tube, lit a splint and put into the test-tube.
POP it went. Haha coooooooool. Hydrogen gas fo' shizzle.

OH, Fuzah and Emah kept saying Cooliees or whatever. Hahah.

Then HADRAH. Ugh. Dreading! The newbies and Haziq are so NOT serious about this! I want to win this year, and they are depleting the chances of winning for me and MS. Yechh. I managed to shout at them, and they went SILENT.

NOW WHO'S THE BOSS, EH?!

Then went Nasyid, then I went home.

Barbecue at Mr. Meer's house on the 26th of April. COOLIES. Hahaha. Bah, I'm tired.

Sunday, April 13, 2008

what does that mean?

Here I am, on my stomach, typing this post, listening to "Bet On It" by Zac Efron. I am tired! It's a Sunday, yet I went to school from 9 til 2. Why? Practices for competitions. HADRAH and NASYID. I should REALLY stop joining competitions. But I want to WIN.

Yesterday, I went to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for the Ditrythmics (is that right, the spelling?) from Malaysia. They were BRILLIANT TERRIFIC AWESOME. Although I felt guilty for leaving my classmates to do the oh-so-HARD Maths.D test, I felt more relieve for escaping it! Hahaha.

The group from Malaysia -- most were graduates from the University of Arts, or something -- were great. They sang numbers ranging from German (I think) to Traditional Malaysian (Potong Padi and Suriram) to songs from theatrical performances such as West Side Story.

Okay, deja vu moment.

Back. The group sang You Raise Me Up, and it was FANTABULOUS. I was hoping for them to sing Unbreak My Heart. Hahaha.

Okay, it's a Sunday. So tomorrow, I shall start to stop eating lollipops. Euphemism. Hahaha. Okay. That's all. I am blank. See you.

things i swear never to do

Since the beginning of this year, I have promised myself ..:

1. not to smoke (anymore)
2. not to *eat lollipops everyday
3. not to pierce any part of my body
4. not to tattoo any part of my body
5. to try not to be active
6. to try and clean my room at least once a week
7. to sleep at a reasonable hour
8. to pray daily, even in school
9. to refrain myself from swearing profusely
10. to try and appreciate my friends.
11. not to take drugs, or anything Haram
12. not to hurt anyone's feelings.

"eating lollipops" is a euphemism of something inappropriate.

The first one has been broken. And the second. And the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth. Hahaha. oh, and number five.

busy busy

I am so busy lately. And this is one of the moments I am free. Since February, I have Choir, Borneo Global Issues Conference (BGIC), Hadrah. The first two are over, but I have Hadrah Finals on 1st May.

This week is TOPICAL TEST WEEK. GOD! I hate that. I already had (rating, 1 easiest, 10 hardest):
- Melayu Islam Beraja (rating on 8.5 on the hardness scale)
- Bahasa Melayu (rating on 7)
- English (rating on 3)

So, I have left is
- Chemistry, tomorrow
- Maths Syllabus D, on Saturday
- Biology, on Monday
- Physics, on Wednesday
- French, I don't know when
- A. Maths, next Saturday

And, unfortunately, I take June 'O' Levels. I am taking
- French, as it is not offered on November
- History, 'cause I'm crazy
- Additional Maths, 'cause I understand it better than Maths D
- Biology, 'cause, again, I'm crazy
- Chemistry, 'cause I love Chem
- Physics, just to feel the pressure.

So, more than that, I am also involved in Nasyid (Preliminaries on 22 April), Gulingtangan (sometime in May). For now. Ugh. I won't have a birthday this year. Yech. I will be too busy to even reeply greetings. Hahaha.
